Ashley is seven weeks today. She has slept through the night this whole week much to Mommy & Daddy's pure pleasure. She now smiles at us when she sees us which is just so precious and she will follow us with her eyes as we walk around the room. Ashley and Mommy love to sit by the window in the morning and have conversations. Ashley tells me about her dreams and what she thought of dinner last night, what she thinks she should wear today and her thoughts on the upcoming election. All of this must of course first be translated by Mommy from the traditional goo-goo and ga-ga's. Ashley has also been playing with her tongue a lot more and will even stick it out on queue if she sees mommy or daddy doing it. She continues to love our daily walks which have turned into jogs in her BOB stroller. Although she usually falls asleep she seems to take to the fresh air. Unfortunately in the last couple of days she seems to have gotten tummy aches and is spitting up quite a bit. Mommy thinks the culprit is the coffee she has been drinking to stay awake and the brownies she has been eating for the nutritional value (wink wink). So she will be on a very bland diet henceforth. We will also be seeing the doctor today just to make sure Ashley is ok. It has been no fun hearing her poor cries throughout the day when she is normally such a happy baby. Also this week Josh and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary! It became another reality check that life changes as you become parents because you can't just run away on an adventure when you have a little one. We instead had to reminisce of our past trip to Carmel by the Sea!
Married to my best friend, hubby Josh on April 9, 2005. Mother to Ashley (born February 22, 2008) and Caitlyn (born February 25, 2010). This blog captures the special moments for our family to share with friends, loved ones and passersby.
